Fox & Staniland had an interesting beginning. David Fox and Richard Staniland began practicing as partners in the Sillar & Maddison firm that was established many years before. The Sillar & Maddison firm was created by Ralph Sillar and John Maddison. Maddison moved on to become the State Minister for Justice and an Attorney General. Shortly after Fox and Staniland joined the firm they opened their own branch office located in Gordon.
In the year 1972 Ralph Sillar and John Maddison retired which in turn ended the partnership but David Fox and Richard Staniland continued to practice law in their location under the name Fox and Staniland. Since this time the law firm has continued to grow and is now one of the largest firms in the area.
This growth encouraged the firm to move from Gordon to Pymble’s Bridge Street. Some of the services this law firm specializes in are listed below.
